This guide provides comprehensive instructions for the Cerebrum workflow when processing ECHO-AI tests. It details the steps for reception, technologists, and the validation of test data, including seamless integration with the us2ai application.
Important: ECHO-AI tests are categorized under the ECHO-AI Patients test group. You can easily filter for these tests on the Daysheet using the Test Group Filters.
1. Scheduling and Patient Arrival
Ensuring the correct test is scheduled is crucial for a smooth workflow.
A. Before Patient Arrives:
If a patient is expected to have an ECHO-AI test, it's essential to modify the appointment before their arrival.
- Change the test from E45 to ECHO-AI (short name: EAI).
- This action activates the Modality Worklist (MWL) and sends the correct accession number to the ECHO machine.
B. If ECHO-AI Test is Added After Patient Arrival:
Should the ECHO-AI test be added after the patient has already arrived, follow these steps:
- Go to the Appointment Menu.
- Click the MWL button once to unlink it from the previously scheduled test.
- Click the MWL button again to link it to the correct accession number for the ECHO-AI test.
- Refresh the modality worklist on the ECHO machine to pull the patient’s updated information.
2. Performing the Study
Perform the echocardiogram study as you normally would on the ECHO machine.
Key Point for ECHO-AI Tests: After completing the study, always send the study data to US2AI. Do not send measurements directly to Cerebrum for ECHO-AI tests.
3. Accessing the Test Worksheet
Open the Test Worksheet in Cerebrum as you typically would.
For ECHO-AI Tests:
- Navigate to the Show tab within the Test Worksheet.
- Select Us2ai Reports → Report 1.
- This action will open the us2ai application in a separate browser tab.
- Log in to us2ai and complete the required steps as outlined in the us2ai User Guide.
4. Sending Data Back to Cerebrum
After you have validated the data within the us2ai application:
- Push the data back to the Cerebrum Test Worksheet by approving the data in us2ai.
- Verify that all measurements and root categories have been filled correctly in the Cerebrum worksheet.
Manual Adjustments:
- If any measurement captured on the ECHO machine is missing in us2ai, enter it directly into the Cerebrum Test Worksheet.
- Important: For ECHO-AI, measurements must go through us2ai. Do not send measurements directly from the ECHO machine to Cerebrum.
5. Finalizing the Worksheet
Once all validations and measurements are complete and accurate:
- Click Save & Change Status → Ready for Doctor.
- This action sends the study to the reporting physician for their review.
Additional Measurements/Modifications:
- Should additional measurements or modifications be required, updates can be made within the us2ai application.
- After remeasuring and approving changes in us2ai, re-send the data back to Cerebrum.
- Always ensure that all measurements are accurate and complete before finalizing the worksheet.
Summary of Key Points
- Scheduling: ECHO-AI tests must be scheduled correctly as EAI prior to patient arrival.
- MWL Linkage: The Modality Worklist (MWL) must be linked to the correct ECHO-AI test and accession number.
- Data Flow: Measurements from the ECHO machine for ECHO-AI tests always go through us2ai first.
- Cerebrum Update: The Cerebrum Test Worksheet is updated from us2ai and can be manually adjusted if necessary.
- Finalization: The final status update sends the study to the physician for review.
