To enrich diagnostic reports and clinical documentation, measurements taken from DICOM studies can be directly imported into the system. The Manage DICOM Exam page provides a straightforward method for pulling these valuable measurements into the patient's test worksheet using the study's unique Accession Number.
Crucial Prerequisite: Attach the Study First
Please Note: The study or images must always be attached to the accession number prior to importing measurements. The system cannot import measurement data if the underlying images are not yet linked to the order.
Step-by-Step Guide to Importing Measurements
Follow these instructions to import measurements from a DICOM study.
1. Access the Management Page
To begin, navigate to the administrative section of the application:
- Go to Admin >> Manage DICOM Exam.
2. Find and Format the Accession Number
The key to importing measurements is the Accession Number. This unique identifier links the measurements to a specific imaging order.
Please Note: The Accession Number must be in the specific format: AppointmentID_TestID.
- This composite ID can be found in the URL of the exam's Worksheet page.
- It is crucial to use an underscore (_) between the Appointment ID and the Test ID, not a hyphen or any other character.
3. Import the Measurements
Once you have the correctly formatted Accession Number, you can proceed with the import.
- On the Manage DICOM Exam page, locate Step 4.
- Enter the complete and correctly formatted Accession Number (AppointmentID_TestID) into the corresponding field.
- Click the Import button.
